December Program Highlights

The Children’s Room has so many fun winter activities and programs happening this month! Join us for a Polar Express Adventure on Wednesday, December 13 at 6 p.m. Come in your pajamas and join in the fun as your elf librarians host a fun-filled Polar Express adventure! Swing by for The Polar Express movie on Saturday, December 16 at 2:30 p.m.

We’ll be creating a fun Holiday Craft on Friday, December 15 at 3:30 p.m. Join us to make a beautiful holiday ornament for your favorite person with lots of love... and lots of glitter!

During the Winter Solstice Celebration on Tuesday, December 19 at 6 p.m. we invite families to join us as we gather to celebrate the solstice, the beginning of Winter in New England.

During our Gingerbread House Workshop on Thursday, December 21 at 3:30 p.m. a librarian will instruct you how to build your very own gingerbread house using only a few simple ingredients! Graham crackers, frosting, and yummy toppings will be provided, but space is limited.

Technocopia will also be join us for a Vinyl Stickers program on Wednesday, December 27 at 2 p.m.

We are very excited to be hosting The Tanglewood Marionette's presentation of “Cinderella” on Thursday, December 28 at 2 p.m. The performance is set in the eighteenth century and featuring a dozen lavishly costumed marionettes.*

Finally, we request the honor of your presence at our Third Annual New Year’s Eve Celebration for young children you won’t want to miss New Year’s Eve for Little Ones on Friday, December 29 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Experience a countdown to 2018, including noisemakers and hats, refreshments, and of course lots of dancing.*
