The library is pleased to offer a variety of online learning opportunities to our patrons. Whether you are interested in learning about the latest technology for web development and software or if you really want to get started with learning a new language, the Worcester Public Library has something to offer for everybody through our online learning services.
Lynda.com is an online tutorial training website that is well known for its instruction on many different kinds of software tools used for such tasks as video production, excel sheets, animation, software development, and much more. It is also a well regarded resource to learn new computer programming languages and web development techniques for all skill levels.
Mango languages provides users with over 70 languages to learn, including Pirate! It offers a well considered user interface where all the resources on the site are easy to navigate. The courses for each language are highly interactive and Mango also offers the opportunity to watch films in the language of your choice. You can use Mango on your mobile devices as well by downloading the site's app though your phone's app store.
PowerSpeak Languages offers age specific content for all ages of language learners. If you are interested in focusing on your reading, writing or speaking skills in a specific language, PowerSpeak offers a variety of courses, games and tutorials to help you develop those specific skills as you continue learning a new language.
