Libby Mobile Express Artwork

The original artwork on the exterior of “Libby” was created and executed by Key Detail, a Belarusian artist who has worked with POW! WOW! Worcester. The artwork was commissioned with the help of the Worcester Public Library Foundation and POW! WOW! Worcester. The original request was for artwork that was colorful, imaginative, and also reflected the diversity of the library’s patrons. The mural was completed in just over a week, and was created using automotive spray paint.

The Libby mobile library is well supplied with books, audiobooks, and DVDs for preschoolers through adults. Libby typically visits 65 different sites within a regular four-week schedule. The mobile library is supported by the Foundation, the City of Worcester and the College of the Holy Cross.
